Gostisbehere was limited to only 4:06 time-on-ice in Carolina's most recent outing, exiting the contest with a lower-body injury. The 32-year-old defenseman will not play on Monday against the Vegas Golden Knights, but he is not expect to miss significant time. He is off to a tremendous start in the 2025-26 season, scoring seven points (1G / 6A) in five games.


Gostisbehere has not played since April 8th but will likely draw back into the lineup on Wednesday against the Montreal Canadiens. The 31-year-old Gostisbehere has 44 points (7G / 37A) in 68 games this season.




Gostisbehere was a surprise scratch on Thursday, with the team not announcing his absence prior to warmups. Scott Morrow will draw into the lineup in his place.

Pettersson has missed four straight games and did not practice on Tuesday but remains day-to-day with an upper-body injury. After a mostly disappointing 2024-25 campaign with 35 points (11G / 24A) in his first 55 games, Pettersson was finally starting to produce with the elite ability he's shown in recent seasons, with 10 points (4G / 6A) in the nine games before his injury. Pius Suter has stepped up in Pettersson's absence with eight points (2G / 6A) during a four-game point streak.

Pettersson was limited to only 7:50 time-on-ice before exiting Saturday's 5-3 loss to the New York Rangers with an undisclosed injury, and will not play on Monday against the New Jersey Devils. After a mostly disappointing 2024-25 campaign with 35 points (11G / 24A) in his first 55 games, Pettersson was finally starting to produce with the elite ability he's shown in recent seasons, with 10 points (4G / 6A) in the nine games before his injury. He is expected to miss the remainder of Vancouver's road trip.









Gostisbehere was not at the Hurricanes' morning skate on Thursday, attending to personal matters, but is ready to play in the evening against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 31-year-old Gostisbehere continues to quarterback the top powerplay unit in Carolina and has 28 points (6G / 22A) in 40 games this season. That said, his productivity has dipped significantly, with only three points (0G / 3A) in his last 12 games after being nearly a point-per-game player with 25 points (6G / 19A) in his previous 27.
