Aho will not dress for Carolina's final game of the season on Tuesday vs. Columbus.

The Hurricanes play their final game of the season on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets and have opted to rest a variety of their lineup regulars. Aho ends the 2023-24 campaign with a career-high 89 points (36G / 53A) in 78 games.

The Hurricanes will welcome Aho back into their lineup on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Aho has missed the last three games after suffering an upper-body injury. He has three points (1G / 2A) and eight shots while averaging 21:00 time-on-ice through three games this season. He will immediately retake his place on the Hurricanes' first line and top power-play unit.

The Hurricanes will hope to welcome Aho, who is listed as a game-time decision, back into their lineup on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. If Aho is unable to suit up, Teuvo Teravainen will likely remain on the top line as his replacement.

Aho was a late scratch to Tuesday's game thanks to the surprise upper-body injury, with the team announcing his absence just 30 minutes before puck drop. The driving force behind Carolina's offense, Aho has enjoyed a nice start to the season, picking up two goals and one assist with eight shots on goal through the first three games of the season. Teuvo Teravainen will attempt to fill the void left by Aho as he'll serve as the team's first line centre to begin Tuesday's game against the Sharks.

Aho has missed the Hurricane's last seven games due to a lower-body injury but play Friday after being a game-time decision as they take on the Flyers. If Aho does return, it will be massive for Carolina, as he had 11 goals, 27 points, 7 SOG, 18 PIMS and a +2 plus/minus through 26 games prior to the injury.

Aho has missed the last four games with a lower-body issue and concussion, but practiced on Monday and skated with Jordan Staal and Elias Lindholm in today’s gameday skate. Aho brings 16 goals and 21 assists (37 points) in 45 games to the Hurricanes lineup vs. the Senators.

Aho was back at practice on Monday and may be cleared to play Tuesday after missing the last four games with a lower-body injury and concussion. Aho’s return will be huge for the Hurricanes as he comes in second on the team in points (37).

Aho was hit in the head and the knee on a dangerous hit by Mark Giordano, that resulted in a match penalty for the defenseman. Aho was favoring his left leg as he was helped off of the ice, but luckily for the Hurricanes’ leading scorer, they have the next five days off with a bye week. Monitor Aho’s status heading into Saturday’s game in Detroit.

Aho was hurt over the weekend but practiced on Monday and took part in today’s morning skate. Head coach Bill Peters said that Aho “should be good to go” so look for the talented second-year forward to play in Tampa Bay. Aho has six goals and four assists (10 points) in his last seven games.
