Jimmy Vesey News
New York Rangers
Vesey (upper-body) will not play on Thursday.
Vesey was injured late in in Tuesday’s loss in Brooklyn and is listed as day-to-day. Tuesday was a rough night for the Rangers, who lost two other players in addition to Vesey. Michael Grabner will be back in the lineup for Vesey.
Vesey (upper-body) is listed as day-to-day but will travel to Winnipeg.
Vesey is apparently dealing with an upper-body injury after Tuesday’s game and is questionable for Thursday’s game in Winnipeg. He will travel with the team, but there’s no guarantee that he will play.
The Rangers have signed Jimmy Vesey to a two-year, entry-level contract.
Vesey, 23, opted not to sign with the Predators after finishing up his college career at Harvard and also decided not to sign with Buffalo after his rights were acquired in June. He became a free agent last Tuesday and his lengthy process finally ended with him signing with the Rangers. The reigning Hobey Baker award winner is coming off 24 goals and 22 assists (46 points) in 33 games with Harvard.
