Matt Duchene News
Duchene (illness) will return to the Avalanche lineup on Wednesday.
Duchene missed Monday’s game with an illness, but returns to the lineup tonight vs. the Canucks. Duchene has two goals and two assists in his last four games and comes in with 28 points (15G / 13A) in 40 games this season.
Duchene (concussion) will return to the Avalanche lineup on Monday.
Duchene has missed the last four games with concussion-like symptoms, but will return to the lineup tonight in Columbus. Duchene, who will skate on a line with Carl Soderbergh and Andreas Martinsen, has 11 points (6G / 5A) in 13 games this season.
Duchene (concussion) will not play on Saturday.
Duchene will miss his fourth straight game because of a concussion. Duchene appeared to be getting close when he skated earlier the week, but he is not quite there. The Avs’ next game is on Monday, so monitor his status that morning.
Duchene (concussion-like symptoms) returned to practice on Wednesday; could play on Thursday.
Duchene has missed the last two games with concussion-like symptoms, but he was back on the ice on Wednesday and could be back in the lineup on Thursday. Monitor Duchene’s status during the morning skate, but it appears as if he will play in Dallas. Duchene has 11 points (6G / 5A) in 13 games this season.
Duchene (concussion-like symptoms) will not play on Tuesday.
Duchene missed Monday’s practice and will miss his second straight game on Tuesday. Duchene is Colorado’s leading scorer, so this is obviously a big loss for the Avalanche. Consider Duchene as day-to-day.
Duchene (concussion-like symptoms) missed Saturday’s practice; questionable for Sunday.
Duchene left Saturday’s game after getting caught up high with a hit and his absence from Saturday’s practice leaves him questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bruins. With Duchene potentially out, Nathan MacKinnon skated on the top line on Saturday.
Duchene (knee) will return to the Avalanche lineup on Friday.
Duchene missed the last six games with a knee injury, but returned to practice on Thursday and will return to the lineup on Friday. Duchene has 29 goals and 27 assists (56 points) in 71 games this season.
Duchene (knee) will miss Colorado’s two-game road trip.
The Avalanche announced earlier in the week that Duchene would be shutdown for the week and reevaluate his status on Sunday. It doesn’t sound like he has improved as he and Nathan MacKinnon will miss the Avs’ two-game road trip in Nashville and St. Louis.
Duchene (knee) will not practice this week; will miss at least the next two games.
Duchene will miss at least the next two games before he is reevaluated on Sunday. The Avalanche said there will be no further updates until that time. This is obviously a massive hit to the Avs’ playoff chances—they are currently clinging to the last Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, just one spot up on Minnesota, who they’ll play on Saturday with out Duchene or Nathan MacKinnon.
Duchene (illness) missed the morning skate, but expected to play vs. the Islanders.
Duchene missed the morning skate because of an illness, but is still expected to be in the lineup tonight vs. the Islanders. Duchene has been red-hot in the month of November, having recorded 11 goals and nine assists (20 points) in 13 games.
Duchene (knee) will return to the lineup in game 6.
Duchene hasn't played since March 29 because of a knee injury. He missed the final eight games of the regular season and the first five in this best-of-7 series against the Wild, which the Avalanche lead 3-2. Duchene skated on the fourth line with Brad Malone and Maxime Talbot during pregame warmups. It was a different line than he practiced with during the morning skate, when he was between Ryan O'Reilly and PA Parenteau. Duchene led Colorado with 70 points (23 goals, 47 assists) during the regular season.
Duchene (knee) will be a game-time decision for Game 6 tonight.
Duchene took part in the Avalanche's morning skate and was on a line with Ryan O'Reilly and P.A Parenteau which suggests that if he plays, he will not be on the fourth line like head coach Patrick Roy had originally indicated. Duchene has not played since March 29th, but is the Avalanche's top offensive threat and definitely boosts their chances at eliminating the Wild tonight if he is in the lineup.
Duchene (knee) may return to the Avalanche lineup for Game 6.
The early word from the Avs is that Duchene is likely to return on Monday, but head coach Patrick Roy has not confirmed that. Roy said that if Duchene does play, he will likely play on the fourth line and power-play, but I find that hard to believe. The Avalanche will hit the ice for their morning skate shortly, so we will have word on Duchene's availability soon thereafter.
