Quincey has not recorded a point while registering three shots and six hits in his first three games with the Blue Jackets. He will come out of the lineup tonight with Markus Nutivaara (lower-body) set to return to the lineup vs. New Jersey.

Trade
The Blue Jackets have acquired Kyle Quincey from the Devils for Dalton Prout.
Quincey is an expiring contract at the end of the season so he gets added to a solid Columbus’ blueline, where he will likely serve as their sixth defenseman. He had 12 points (4G / 8A) in 53 games with the Devils this season.

The Devils are planing on moving Quincey at the deadline, so they will scratch him tonight to make sure he doesn’t get hurt. John Moore will replace him in the lineup and should skate with Damon Severson.

Quincey signed a one-year deal with the Devils a few weeks ago and will play on the third pair with Johann Auvitu on Thursday. Steven Santina will sit in the press box so that Quincey can play. He had just 11 points (4G / 7A) in 47 games with the Red Wings last year.

The Devils have signed Kyle Quincey to a one-year deal worth $1.25 million.
Quincey has spent the last four and a half seasons with the Red Wings, never topping 18 points (3G / 15A) in a single season. Quincey should file in on the Devils’ third pairing and provides them with some extra blueline depth.

Quincey (ankle) will be back in the Red Wings lineup on Monday.
Quincey will be in the lineup for the first time since October 23rd. He underwent ankle surgery in late October and is expected to replace Alexey Marchenko in the lineup. Who he replaces has not been confirmed by Jeff Blashill, but Marcheko seems like the likely candidate. Quincey has one goal and two assists in seven games.

Quincey skated on Sunday and said that he hopes to be back in the Red Wings lineup on Thursday vs. the Sharks. That means he will not play on Monday in New Jersey, but monitor his status throughout the week. Quincey has been sidelined since October 23rd with an ankle injury.

Quincey was originally only expected to miss six weeks after surgery, but will now miss 2-3 months. With Quincey out, Alexey Marcheko and Jakub Kindl will continue to get regular reps in the lineup.

Quincey has missed the last eight games with an ankle injury that will now require surgery that will keep him sidelined until late December. With Quincey out for an extended period of time, Alexey Marchenko will continue to play with the Red Wings.
