Quincey (undisclosed) will return to the Wild blueline on Saturday.

Quincey has sat out of the last two games and Bruce Boudreau announced today that it was because of an injury, but he is ready to replace Gustav Olofsson in the lineup vs. Chicago. Quincey has three assists while averaging 15:35 TOI/GM in nine games this season.

Quincey is an expiring contract at the end of the season so he gets added to a solid Columbus’ blueline, where he will likely serve as their sixth defenseman. He had 12 points (4G / 8A) in 53 games with the Devils this season.

Quincey will be in the lineup for the first time since October 23rd. He underwent ankle surgery in late October and is expected to replace Alexey Marchenko in the lineup. Who he replaces has not been confirmed by Jeff Blashill, but Marcheko seems like the likely candidate. Quincey has one goal and two assists in seven games.

Quincey skated on Sunday and said that he hopes to be back in the Red Wings lineup on Thursday vs. the Sharks. That means he will not play on Monday in New Jersey, but monitor his status throughout the week. Quincey has been sidelined since October 23rd with an ankle injury.

Quincey was originally only expected to miss six weeks after surgery, but will now miss 2-3 months. With Quincey out, Alexey Marcheko and Jakub Kindl will continue to get regular reps in the lineup.

Quincey received good news from the doctor this afternoon. The Red Wings feared that he may need surgery, but he doesn’t and has been cleared to return to the lineup as soon as Mike Babcock feels he is ready to go.
