Winnik has failed to record a point in his last four games and it looks as if he will come out of the lineup in favour of Nick Spaling, who returns from injury.

Injury
Winnik (lower-body) is expected to play on Thursday.
Winnik missed Tuesday’s game in Dallas, but he will replace Brad Boyes in the lineup tonight in Nashville. Winnik, who will skate on the third line, has six points (2G / 4A) in 14 games this season.

Injury
Winnik (lower-body) will not play on Tuesday.
Winnik suffered a lower-body injury in Saturday’s loss to the Capitals. Winnik has been one of the Maple Leafs best players this season, so this is a big loss for them. Tonight he will be replaced by Peter Holland. Consider Winnik as day-to-day.

Line Change
Winnik has been cleared to practice with the Penguins on Saturday.
Winnik, who was recently acquired via trade from Toronto, had his Visa issue worked out and he will be in practice on Saturday. Tomorrow’s practice will give us a better idea of who he will play with and who will be a healthy scratch on Sunday.

Trade
The Leafs have traded Daniel Winnik to the Penguins for a 2016 2nd round pick, a 2015 4th round pick and Zach Sill.
Winnik, 29, is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. He has scored 25 points (7G / 18A) in 58 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The Penguins are strapped up against the cap, which is why the Maple Leafs took on Sill’s salary as well as retained 50% of Winnik’s salary for the remainder of the season. Winnik is a versatile forward who works hard in both ends of the rink.

Less than a week after being stretchered off of the ice, Winnik will return to the Leafs lineup tonight vs. the Bruins. He will skate with Nazem Kadri and David Clarkson in his return.

Injury
Winnik (neck) practiced with the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
Winnik missed the last two games with a neck injury that he suffered last Thursday. He was back at practice on Tuesday, skating on a line with David Clarkson and Nazem Kadri, which is a good sign for his availability on Wednesday vs. the Bruins.

Injury
Winnik (neck) will miss his second straight game.
Winnik did not travel with the Maple Leafs to Ottawa and will not play tonight. The Maple Leafs are following concussion protocol, but they announced that he did not suffer a concussion. Trevor Smith could make his season debut tonight.

Injury
Winnik (neck) will not play on Saturday.
This is no surprise after Winnik was stretchered off of the ice on Thursday and missed this morning's game day skate. He won't play tonight, but head coach Randy Carlyle would not rule him out for Sunday.

Injury
Winnik (neck) is not on the ice for the Maple Leafs morning skate.
Winnik had to be stretchered off of the ice on Thursday, so it would not be surprising to see him sit out on Saturday. He reportedly was feeling fine after Thursday’s game, but I would still look for him to sit tonight. He was playing on the top line, so that someone else will get a chance to play with Phil Kessel and Nazem Kadri tonight.

Injury
Winnik says he is “100% fine” after being stretchered off of the ice on Thursday.
Winnik was knocked out in an awkward collision that had him land on the back of his neck. He was out cold on the ice and had to be stretchered off, but he was reportedly up and talking to teammates following the game and is doing well. I would not expect to see him in the lineup on Saturday vs. the Rangers, but you never know.
