Josh Gorges News
Gorges is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.
After being held out of the first three games of the season, Gorges got into the last four contests but is now sidelined with an undisclosed ailment. The Sabres have a couple of solid defensemen on the roster so this is not a huge loss for them at this time.
Gorges (abdomen) will return to the Sabres’ lineup on Saturday.
Gorges has been sidelined since January 5th, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Senators. Gorges doesn’t have a lot of offensive upside as he comes into play with just one assist in 34 games. Where he has value is his 77 hits and 62 blocked shots.
Gorges (foot) is expected to return to the Sabres’ lineup on Friday.
Somehow, Gorges will likely play tonight just one week after it was announced that he would miss more than two months with a foot fracture. This is a miraculous recovery by Gorges, who comes into play with just one assist in 23 games this season.
Gorges (foot) will not play on Saturday; expected to be out for a bit.
Gorges was injured in Thursday’s win over the Rangers after being hit in the foot by a shot. With Gorges out, the Sabres have recalled Brendan Guhle from the Western Hockey League.
Gorges (upper-body) is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday.
Gorges missed three games prior to the All-Star break, but is expected to be back in the lineup on Wednesday. Gorges has picked up just seven points (1G / 6A) in 45 games this season, so he is no where near the fantasy radar.
Gorges (undisclosed) will not play on Friday.
Gorges missed two games but returned on Wednesday only to be scratched again tonight due to an undisclosed injury. With Gorges back out, Jake McCabe will be back in the lineup.
Gorges (upper-body) will return to the Sabres lineup on Wednesday.
Gorges missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but will return to the lineup tonight in Colorado. Gorges is not a legitimate fantasy option, having registered just seven points (1G / 6A) in 45 games this season.
Gorges (lower-body) will play on Thursday vs. the Senators.
Gorges had been battling a lower-body injury and at one point there was a chance that he would miss the start of the season. He appears to have made a quick recovery and practiced the last few days and will play tonight. Dan Bylsma said Gorges is “100 percent.”
Gorges (lower-body) is week-to-week and could miss the start of the regular season.
Gorges injury is not related to the knee he had surgery on, which is good news for the veteran defenseman, however the injury could still force him to miss regular season time. Gorges joins Zach Bogosian as injured Sabres’ defensemen who could miss the season opener. Those are both big losses for a young Buffalo team. Cody Franson and Rasmus Ristolainen will likely be leaned on to shoulder the load while Gorges and Bogosian recover.
Gorges (lower-body) will undergo season-ending surgery.
Gorges, who has missed the last four games, will undergo surgery on a lower-body injury that he suffered in mid-February. Gorges wraps up his first season with the Sabres with six assists and a minus-28 rating in 46 games.
Josh Gorges is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.
There is no timeline for Gorges return, but coach Ted Nolan wouldn’t say that Gorges season was over. Gorges would have likely lined up alongside new-comer Zach Bogosian, but with Gorges out, Andre Benoit played with Bogosian on Sunday.
Gorges (finger) returns to the Sabres lineup on Saturday.
Gorges has missed the last two games with a finger injury that he suffered last Saturday vs. the Panthers. He will be paired with Tyler Myers tonight vs. the Avalanche.
