The Blue Jackets have signed Adam Clendening to a two-year contract extension.
Clendening spent the majority of the year in the AHL, where he led all Cleveland defensemen and was third on the team in points with 37 (4G / 33A) in 45 games. The 26-year-ol has 24 points (4G / 20A) in 90 career NHL games with seven different organizations (CHI, VAN, PIT, EDM, NYR, ARI and CBJ).
Clendening is expected to be healthy scratch in Game 6.
The Blue Jackets went with 11 forwards and seven defensemen in Game 5 but it looks like they will go back to the traditional 12F, 6D, with Alexandre Texier will replace Adam Clendening in Game 6.

The Rangers have signed Adam Clendening to a one-year deal worth $600K.
Clendening, 23, split his time between the Penguins and Oilers organizations last year. He had one goal and six assists in 29 NHL games and three assists in six games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL). He was signed to add some organizational depth to the Rangers blueline. He’ll be given a chance to crack the opening night roster in training camp, but will likely start in the AHL.

The Canucks have reassigned Adam Clendening to Utica (AHL).
Clendening has been a healthy scratch in the last eight games, so he has been sent to Utica because he needs to play.
Clendening will take Alex Edler's spot on the Canucks top power-play.
