The Oilers have signed Alan Quine to a one-year deal worth $750K.

Quine spent most of 2020 with Stockton (AHL), ranking second on the team with 46 points (14G / 32A) in just 38 games. Quine will be a fringe roster player with the Oilers but will help Bakersfield (AHL) if he doesn't make the big club. He has 28 points (10G / 18A) in 106 career NHL games with the Islanders and Flames.

Quine was recalled sent down but Austin Czarnik landing on LTIR opened the door for Quine to be recalled yet again. He has five points (1G / 4A) in four AHL games this season and 27 points (9G / 18A) in 98 career NHL games with the Islanders and Flames.

Quine made his season debut on Sunday with Sam Bennett and Andrew Mangiapane out, but Mangiapane will play Tuesday so Quine heads back to the AHL. The 26-year-old forward has one goal and four assists (five points) in four games with the Heat.

Quine has been a fantastic AHL player over the years and led the Stockton Heat with 52 points (19G / 33A) in 41 games this season. The 26-year-old also recorded three goals and two assists (five points) in 13 games with Calgary—he has 27 points (9G / 18A) in 97 career NHL games.

Quine is second on Stockton in scoring this season, picking up 19 points (6G / 13A) in 15 games this season. With Mikael Backlund hurt and Ryan Lomberg suspended, Quine will make his Flames debut on Saturday.
