Goligoski (lower-body) will not play on Saturday.

Goligoski was a game-time decision for Thursday’s game in Philadelphia and only lasted 1:21 TOI before league the game with a lower-body ailment. The veteran blueliner has been ruled out for Saturday’s game in Pittsburgh, which means that Ilya Lyubushkin will likely play.

Goligoski missed the Coyotes’ final game before the All Star break with an illness but the Coyotes announced that he is “fine” and will play Thursday. Goligoski has had a solid offensive season, posting 22 points (5G / 17A) in 49 games but playing in Arizona has led to a minus-21 rating.

The Coyotes have signed Alex Goligoski to a five-year contract worth $27.375 million.

Arizona traded for Goligoski’s rights last Thursday with the hope they would be able to sign him before July 1st. Goligoski is coming off of a 37-point (5G / 32A) season in 82 games with the Dallas Stars. He has averaged 38.3 points per season in his last three years with Dallas.

The Coyotes have acquired the negotiating rights to Alex Goligoski from the Stars for a 2016 fifth round pick.

Goligoski is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st, but the Coyotes have acquired his rights and plan to sign him before June ends. The 30-year-old blueliner had 37 points (5G / 32A) in 82 games with Dallas this season.

The Coyotes have recalled Dustin Jeffrey from Springfield (AHL).

Jeffrey had one assist in his only game with the Coyotes this season. Jeffrey has dominated the AHL and deserved to be back with the big club—he has posted seven goals and 11 assists (18 points) in 16 games with Springfield. Jeffrey could be back in the lineup on Wednesday.

Jeffrey had one assist and a plus-2 rating in his season debut on Monday but was a healthy scratch on Tuesday. He returns to Springfield where he has 12 points (5G / 7A) in 10 games this season.

The Coyotes have recalled Dustin Jeffrey from Springfield (AHL).

Jeffrey has had a great start to the AHL season, collecting 12 points (5G / 7A) in 10 games with Springfield. Jeffrey also tore up the AHL last season, but has just 31 career points (17G / 14A) in 124 games with the Penguins and Stars.

The Stars have recalled forward Dustin Jeffrey from Texas (AHL).

Jeffrey, 26, has earned 10 points (4G / 6A) and a plus-6 rating in 21 games for Texas this season. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound forward has skated in 22 NHL games with Dallas and Pittsburgh this season, recording two assists.

Jeffrey has cleared waivers and will be assigned to the AHL on Friday.

Jeffrey has been a healthy scratch in seven of the last 10 games. The Stars have said that Jeffrey needs to play and that is why he is heading to the AHL.

The Dallas Stars have claimed Dustin Jeffrey off of waivers from Pittsburgh.

Jeffrey, who is listed at 6-1, 205 pounds, is a left shot and plays both center and wing. The versatile, two-way forward has played ten games with the Penguins this season, registering one assist. The 25-year-old Jeffrey, a sixth-round pick of Pittsburgh in 2007, has played 100 NHL games, registering 28 points (15 goals, 13 assists). “Dustin is a player our scouts have liked over the last couple years,” said Stars GM Jim Nill. “He’s a young player that we think has some room to develop even more. We just think he has a chance to add some depth to our organization. You can never have enough depth.”

Based on the Stars morning skate it appears that Goligoski will draw back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch on Thursday.

Dallas came out on the wrong end of the deal in 2011 when they sent James Neal and Matt Niskanen to Pittsburgh for Goligoski. He has really come out of the gate on a sour note posting no point and a minus-10 rating through eight contests. He will be paired with Jordie Benn this evening.
