White suffered an ugly-looking lower-body injury on Wednesday and will not play tonight in Edmonton. The Senators have yet to provide a full update on White but it sure looked like he'll miss an extended period of time.

White, who played most of last season as the Senators' No.1 centre, has plummeted down the depth chart during training camp. According to head coach DJ Smith, there are "four centres ahead of him that had good camps." Those four centres are Josh Norris, newcomer Derek Stepan, Chris Tierney and Artem Anisimov.

While has missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury but will play tonight in Pittsburgh. White, who has 17 points (6G / 11A) in 56 games this season, is expected to be on the third line with Nick Paul and Jayce Hawryluk and should see some time on PP1 as well.

White will miss his third straight game on Saturday but is hopeful that he'll play Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Josh Norris should remain in the Senators lineup while White is out.

White has been out since October 21st but will return from his conditioning stint with Belleville and play vs. the Hurricanes. White, who missed seven games, returns with just one goal and one assist in eight games this season.

White will miss his seventh straight game on Thursday but he was sent to Belleville to practice with the team this week. White is 2.5 weeks into a 3-to-5 week timetable, so it looks like he could return on the front-end of that timetable.

This is a huge blow to an already thin Senators lineup. White ranked fifth among Senators' forwards in ice-time (17:51) but has had a slow start, scoring one goal with one assist in eight games. The Senators have a busy schedule coming up so missing 3-to-5 weeks will mean missing 10-to-17 games for White. Logan Brown was recalled from Belleville (AHL) to take his spot on the roster.

During his first full NHL season, White had 14 goals and 27 assists (41 points) in 71 games. White averaged 16:12 TOI/gm while carrying a +3.4 CF% rel on the league’s worst team. White is set to start 2020 as the Senators No.1 centre and should build off of 2019 as he should play 17-18 minutes per night.

White was on the ice for Wednesday’s practice but will not be available for Thursday’s game. White will miss his second straight game, which means Chris Tierney will move up into the top-6.

White has missed the last five games with a shoulder injury but will play Friday in Pittsburgh. White, who has 11 goals and 15 assists (26 points) in 44 games, will centre the second-line with Brady Tkachuk and Mark Stone on his wings.

White missed the final five games before the All-Star break but said he’s almost 100 percent sure that he will play on Friday. The Senators went 2-3-0 without White, who has 11 goals and 15 assists (26 points) in 44 games this season.

White missed Friday’s game in Dallas with an undisclosed injury but will return to the Senators lineup on Monday. White has enjoyed a quality season, picking up seven goals and six assists (13 points) in 22 games. White will skate on the second line with Brady Tkachuk and Mark Stone.

Iafallo missed the final four games of the regular season with an upper-body injury, but was back in a familiar spot in Monday’s practice. Iafallo, who tallied 25 points (9G / 16A) in 75 games this season, skated on the top-line with Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown. Iafallo seemed confident that he will play Game 1, but head coach John Stevens was not as sure.
