Stalock was placed on IR retroactively to November 1st after sustaining a concussion from a knock from Cody Cizikas. The 35-year-old was one of the league's best redemption stories early on, posting a 3-2-1 record to go along with his .914 SV% and 2.93 GAA.

Stalock had to leave the Blackhawks' game Tuesday in the first period due to concussion protocol and is still yet to have a timetable for his return. Arvid Soderblom did his best to fill in stopping 28 of 30 shots in the loss Tuesday while Petr Mrazek (groin) was back on the ice Wednesday in practice.

Stalock allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Blackhawks' 4-3 shootout loss to the Wild on Sunday. The loss brought Stalock's record to 3-2-1 with a 2.95 GAA and .914 SV% on the season. He's been terrific so far this season, but the Islanders' offence has been catching fire recently and ranks seventh in the NHL in xGF/60 (3.51) and fifth in GF/gm (3.7).

Stalock allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Blackhawks 4-3 shootout loss to the Wild on Sunday. The loss brought Stalock's record to 3-2-1 with a 2.95 GAA and .914 SV% on the season. He's been terrific so far this season but the Islanders' offence has been catching fire recently and ranks seventh in the NHL in xGF/60 (3.51) and fifth in GF/gm (3.7).

Stalock is coming off his third straight victory after he stopped 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%) in a 4-2 win over Florida Tuesday. The 35-year-old has been one of the best stories in the NHL early on, posting a .938 SV% and 2.09 GAA to go along with his 3-1-0 record. He will take on the high-scoring Edmonton Oilers who rank eighth in the NHL in GF/GP (3.57) and have won three of their last four games.

Alex Stalock will start Tuesday vs the Florida Panthers

Stalock will be looking for his third straight win in as many Blackhawk games as he takes the crease Tuesday against the Panthers on home ice. The veteran has enjoyed his return to the NHL in 2022-23 after missing all of last year due to injury, posting a career-best .938 SV% and 2.14 GAA so far through his first three games. He will face the tough task of taking on the 4-1-1 Florida Panthers who are coming off a 3-2 win over NYI Saturday.

The Sharks have acquired Alex Stalock from the Oilers for future considerations.

Stalock was originally drafted by the Sharks in 2005 and played with San Jose from 2011-to-2016. Stalock recently returned to action with Bakersfield (AHL), going 3-1-0 with a 3.81 GAA and .862 SV%. With Adin Hill and James Reimer both dealing with injuries right now, Stalock could make a return to the NHL. He last played in the NHL in 2020, when he was 20-11-4 with a 2.67 GAA and .910 SV% in 38 games with the Minnesota Wild.

The Oilers have claimed Alex Stalock off of waivers from the Wild.

Stalock has missed the first month and a half of the season with an upper-body injury but was placed on waivers on Sunday after getting back to 100 percent. The 33-year-old was 20-11-4 with a 2.67 GAA and .910 SV% last season and adds some much-needed depth to the Oilers' crease.
