Max Pacioretty News

Look for Max Pacioretty to be in #Habs lineup today, 7 1/2 days after his appendectomy. Not confirmed but a pretty safe bet.

Pacioretty was expected to miss 3 to 4 weeks after his appendectomy, but it looks like he has made a speedy recovery and could play today. Monitor his status before game-time.

Pacioretty was with Blunden on a fifth line at #Habs skate. Reminder, Pacioretty had surgery six days ago.

This is pretty remarkable considering he had emergency surgery just 6 days ago. He was in practice with a no-contact jersey on so it looks like he could be back much sooner than originally expected.

Plekanec sera avec Pacioretty et Gionta.

Pacioretty returns to the lineup and will play on the top line. The sniper still leads the team with 10 goals and is second to only Tomas Plekanec with 19 points. If he's for whatever reason available in your fantasy hockey league, grab him immediately.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Alexandre Picard from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Picard coming back to the big team is an indication the team needs a depth defender. Currently Kris Letang, Deryk Engelland and Zybnek Michalek are all questionable with various injuries.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Simon Despres from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, and re-assigned defenseman Alexandre Picard to WBS, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Picard played well in his game against the Rangers but is sent down so the Pens can take a look at their top prospect. He holds no fantasy hockey value.
