Ritchie missed Sunday’s game vs. the Sharks with an upper-body injury, but he has been upgraded to questionable for tonight’s game vs. Philadelphia. Monitor Ritchie’s status as the Ducks hit the ice for warmups at 9:30pm ET.


Ritchie is fresh off of signing a three-year extension with the Ducks worth $4.599M (1.533M AAV) and will make his season debut tonight in Chicago. Ritchie will skate on the Ducks top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Rickard Rakell.

Ritchie has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but he was on the ice for the Ducks’ morning skate and will try to give it a go in warmups tonight. There’s no word as to who Ritchie is expected to play with, but it’s a good sign that he might be back in the lineup.

Ritchie suffered a lower-body injury in the Ducks’ season opener and he’ll miss his third straight game tonight vs. the Islanders. Ritchie is considered day-to-day and is not expected to miss an extended period of time.


Ritchie missed Saturday’s game vs. the Flyers with a lower-body injury he suffered in the season opener. Ritchie has been listed as questionable for tonight. Throughout his young career, Ritchie has never recorded a point in eight games vs. the Flames.




Marchenko has not appeared in a game since being claimed off of waivers from Detroit on February 4th, but he’ll be paired with Jake Gardiner tonight vs. the Rangers. Marchenko had six assists in 30 games with the Red Wings before being waived.

Marchenko was a healthy scratch for the last five games and has recorded just six assists in 30 games this season. With Brendan Smith returning to action on Saturday, the Red Wings had to waive a defenseman and Marchenko was the casualty. Marchenko played under Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock in 2014-15.


Marchenko has missed the last eight games with a shoulder injury and is expected to miss Wednesday’s game in Anaheim, but is expected to play Thursday in Los Angeles. Marchenko has five assists in 22 games this season.

Marchenko will miss his third straight game with a shoulder injury, so they moved him to IR, so they could recall Nick Jensen to be an extra defenseman on their three-game road trip. Expect Marchenko to be out until after Christmas.

Marchenko left Sunday’s game after being hit hard by Michael Ferland during the Red Wings’ loss to the Flames. Marchenko will miss at least a few weeks, which means the Red Wings will likely recall a defenseman from Grand Rapids (AHL) and Xavier Ouellet will get back into the lineup on Wednesday.
