Andre Burakovsky News

The Kraken have placed Andre Burakovsky (lower-body) on IR.

Burakovsky left Seattle's previous game vs. the Islanders after just one shift and 0:21 TOI due to a lower-body injury and has been placed on the injured-reserve Thursday. The 28-year-old left winger had 13 goals, 26 assists, 105 SOG, 14 PIMs and a -9 plus/minus in 49 games in his first season with the Kraken.

Andre Burakovsky will be a game-time decision Wednesday vs. Vancouver (undisclosed).

Burakovsky has 13 goals, 25 assists, 100 SOG, 14 PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 45 games this season but will be a game-time decision Wednesday as he deals with an undisclosed injury. If he is forced to miss any time it will be the first time this season he has done so.

The Avalanche have re-signed Andre Burakovsky to a two-year extension worth $9.8 million ($4.9M AAV).

Burakovsky earns a nice raise (from $3.25M to $4.9M) after setting career-highs in goals (20), assists (25), points (45) and PPP (11). Burakovsky has found a home in Colorado's top-6, sometimes on a line with Nathan MacKinnon, so he could take his point totals to another level in 2021.

Burakovsky (lower-body) did not travel to Vancouver.

The Avalanche start a three-game road trip Friday in Vancouver but Burakovsky did not join the team for the star of the trip. This isn't that surprising since Colorado already said that he would likely miss a few more games but head coach Jared Bednar said he could join the team at some point.

Burakovsky (lower-body) is expected to miss a few more games.

Burakovsky did not come out for Colorado's morning skate and will not play tonight vs. the Ducks. Head coach Jared Bednar expects him to miss a few more games, so don't expect to see him Friday in Vancouver or Sunday in San Jose. Vladislav Namestnikov will remain on the top line with Burakovsky out.
