#Habs Markov appears to be skating in a contact capacity. He's taking regular rushes with Emelin. Update from RC after practice.
Markov is taking contact for the first time this season and might be an option to play this week. Those of you hoping to pluck him off waivers should do so now.

#canadiens Andrei Markov: "I need to be ready 100 % mentally and physically before I play." Not sure he'll play this season.
As previously explained, don't invest too much more in this oft-injured defenseman.
Markov is on the ice wearing a no-contact jersey.
Temper your expectations of Markov as he may be held out the remainder of the season. Regardless, getting some contact is a good sign for the oft-injured defenseman.
#Habs Markov will go to Wash/Fla but not expected to practise with team. To clarify, the fact that he's traveling with team is progress (RC)
Markov travelling with the team is a good sign but his value is greatly diminished in a lost season. Those of you looking to grab him on the waiver wire should not hold your breath.

And that's it for Andrei Markov's little skate. Went about 20 minutes or so, wasn't pushing it at all.
Rumors continue to circulate that Markov could miss the rest of the season for precautionary measures. If you don't have the room for him on your bench, it's probably safe to drop the oft-injured d-man.

#canadiens Andrei Markov (knee) is progressing. Not skating yet.
Markov remains at least a month away. Barring a setback he could possibly play again this season but he may not be worth wasting an IR spot.

The defender is expected to miss at least three weeks but don't be surprised if it takes longer than that for him to return.
Another knee surgery for Markov!! Kiss the year goodbye. What a mistake Habs made in offseason signing damaged goods!
A return this calendar year seems highly unlikely as the offensive defenseman has yet another setback.

Andrei Markov plan to play on that trip. The fact that he's not playing is the result of a setback that occurs this week. No green light.
Bad news for Markov owners, who knew they were in for a long wait. At this point all you can do is wait and hope he returns within this calendar year.
