Lundell has missed the last 11 games with a combination of a lower-body injury and illness. The Panthers said that he will travel with the team to New Jersey and they are hopeful he will play against the Devils. Lundell tallied 14 goals with 24 assists (38 points) in 52 games before getting hurt.
Lundell will miss his 10th straight game on Tuesday but was on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate. Head coach Andrew Brunette said that if Lundell isn't back for Thursday, they are hopeful he will play in the back-to-back over the weekend.
Lundell will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury but the Panthers are hopeful that he will be able to travel to California for a seven-game road trip that starts on Sunday.
Lundell has had a nice start to his rookie season but will come out of the lineup on Monday due to an undisclosed injury. With Lundell out, Joe Thornton will draw back into the lineup and Eetu Luostarinen will move up to the third line.
