Rannta left the Coyotes bench during Game 2 because he is "unfit to play."

Raanta was on the bench for the majority of the second period before being replaced by Adin Hill, who took over as the Coyotes backup. Raanta has had trouble with injuries in recent years but it's hard to imagine he got hurt on the bench. Perhaps Raanta is under the weather but either way, it will be all Darcy Kuemper if Raanta is unavailable.

Raanta will start Monday in Montreal.

The Coyotes' goaltending situation is a mess. Raanta was supposed to start Saturday in Boston but was a late scratch due to a lower-body injury suffered in warmups. Then Darcy Kuemper was supposed to return to the crease tonight but suffered an injury in the morning skate. But now, Raanta is ready to go again, so he’ll face the Habs in Montreal. In his first start vs. the Canadiens, Raanta allowed four goals on 36 shots in a 4-1 loss.
