The Avalanche have recalled Brad Hunt from Colorado (AHL).

Hunt had three goals, three assists, 29 SOG, eight PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 27 games was sent down and cleared waivers Monday, before being called back up Tuesday. He heads backup and will not be adding to his success in the minors, where he had a very strong start the year, with six goals and 20 points in 22 games.

Hunt had three goals, three assists, 29 SOG, eight PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 27 games but has cleared waivers and been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL). He heads back to the minors, where he was very successful to start the year, with six goals and 20 points in 22 games.

Hunt will get the call-up to the Avalanche for the first time this season after posting an uncharacteristic six goals and 20 points with 12 PIMs and a +11 plus/minus through 22 games with the Eagles (AHL). The 34-year-old will be looking to add to his 76 career points (22G/54A) and 241 career NHL GP when he cracks the lineup.

The Wld have signed Brad Hunt to a two-year, $1.4 million ($700K AAV) contract extension.

Hunt has bounced around the NHL over the last few seasons but will stick in Minnesota for a couple of seasons. Hunt was acquired from Vegas in the middle of the 2019 season and finished with five points (3G / 2A) in 29 games with the Wild—12 points (5G / 7A) in 42 games overall.
