Hunt played in the last two games while Nico Sturm was out with an illness, playing just 4:27 ATOI. With Sturm back to 100 percent, Hunt will serve as a healthy scratch for the fifth time in seven games.

Hunt played in three straight games, scoring once on seven shots and adding an assist in limited ice time (12:51 ATOI). He will be replaced by Carson Soucy as the Wild elect to go with a heavier lineup vs. the Avalanche.

With Greg Pateryn ready to make his season debut, Hunt will come out of the lineup vs. the Canucks.

Hunt has bounced around the NHL over the last few seasons but will stick in Minnesota for a couple of seasons. Hunt was acquired from Vegas in the middle of the 2019 season and finished with five points (3G / 2A) in 29 games with the Wild—12 points (5G / 7A) in 42 games overall.

A couple of days after being acquired from Vegas, Hunt will make his debut in Colorado. Hunt will skate on the second pair with Jonas Brodin and is expected to see some power-play time. Hunt has two goals and five assists (seven points) in 13 games this season.
