Dubinsky (abdomen) returned to practice on Saturday.

Dubinsky has not played this season after undergoing surgery on an abdominal injury on October 8th. He is four weeks into a six week timetable, so expect him to miss another 7-10 days before returning to the Blue Jackets lineup.

This is a terrible break for the Blue Jackets. Originally Dubinsky's injury was not believed to be serious, but he will now miss the first month and a half. Columbus will start the season with three of their top-6 on the IR. The injury will certianly put more pressure on Ryan Johansen and allow rookies like Marko Dano and Alexander Wennberg to play larger roles.

The Blue Jackets are starting the season really banged up. They are already without Boone Jenner, Nathan Horton, Ryan Murray and Ryan Johansen's status remains up in the air. The Blue Jackets are saying that Dubinsky is out indefinitely and the designation on IR means he will miss at least one week.

The Blue Jackets signed Brandon Dubinsky to a six-year, $35.1 million contract extension.

Dubinsky, 28, registered 16 goals and 34 assists (50 points) in 76 games during his second season with the Blue Jackets. Dubinsky also finished tied for second in Jackets' postseason scoring with six points (1G / 5A). Dubinsky will play this season under a $4.2 million dollar cap-hit, but will make $5.85 million over the following six season after yesterday's extension.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Brandon Dubinsky (foot) off Injured Reserve.

Dubinsky, 27, has tallied five goals and 10 assists for 15 points with 40 penalty minutes and a plus-1 rating in 21 games this season. He leads the club in PIM and time on ice among forwards (19:30), ranks second in assists, third in points and is tied for sixth in goals. He has also netted two power play, two shorthanded and one game-winning goal and won 55.9 percent of face-offs he’s taken. This move all but ensures he will return to the lineup tomorrow.

Dubinsky (foot) was a full participant in Blue Jackets' practice this morning and could be in the lineup on Tuesday.

Dubinsky has missed the last six games with a foot injury that he suffered on November 19 vs. Edmonton. Dubinsky has had a strong start to the season posting five goals and 10 assists in 21 games. Monitor his status tomorrow.

Dubinsky did not take part in Columbus' morning skate, so he could be dealing with an injury. He has had a hard time staying healthy in his first year in Columbus and has been in-and-out of the lineup frequently. Monitor his status after pre-game warmups.

Dubinsky has missed the Blue Jackets last six games with a knee injury. He has bee hurt on a few occasions this season, only appearing in 19 games thus far. Consider him probable for tomorrow, he has practiced hard all week.
