Manning will miss multiple weeks with an upper-body injury and his absence means that rookie Ivan Provorov will make the Flyers opening night roster.

Manning, 26, spent the entire 2015-16 season with the Flyers after splitting the first four years of his professional career between the AHL and NHL. He tallied just seven points (1G / 6A) in 56 games, bringing his career total to 12 points (1G / 11A) in 77 NHL games. Manning is a member of a very crowded Flyers blueline, which will likely add rookie Ivan Provorov during training camp, so Manning may end up as an extra defenseman or back in Adirondack (AHL).

Manning was a healthy scratch in the last four games, but is expected to replace Yevgeni Medvedev in the lineup tonight. Manning has just three assists in 30 games this season.

Manning, 24, has three assists in 10 games with the Flyers. He has spent most of his time with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he has scored 11 goals and 43 points in 58 contests.

With injuries to Huskins and Gervais, Manning has been inserted into the lineup for tonight's game. However, he will not be a factor fantasy wide.

Manning is not expected to have any fantasy relevance.
