Guhle will miss approximately six weeks with a sprained MCL.

Guhle was in a battle to land one of the two spots up for grabs on the Ducks' third pairing but is now expected to miss the first five weeks of the regular season with a sprained MCL. Guhle split 2020 between the NHL and AHL, tallying four goals and four assists in 20 games with the Ducks.

The Ducks have signed Brendan Guhle to a two-year, $1.6 million contract extension ($800k AAV).

Guhle, who was acquired from Buffalo last February as a part of the Brandon Montour trade, split his time evenly between the AHL and NHL in 2019-20. During his time with Anaheim, he had four goals and four assists (eight points) in 30 games. With the San Diego Gulls, he was second among team defensemen with 14 points (4G / 10A) despite only appearing in 27 games. He should be a full-time NHLer in 2021 as the Ducks continue to rebuild their once promising blueline.

With Erik Gudbranson getting hurt on Friday both Guhle and Josh Mahura were recalled from San Diego prior to today's game in Buffalo. One or both of them figure to draw into the lineup. For Guhle, he has four points (1G / 3A) in 18 NHL games and 12 points (4G / 8A) in 31 AHL games this season.

The 22-year-old blueliner has split the first six weeks of the season between the AHL and NHL. Guhle has four points (1G / 3A) in four games in San Diego and three assists in seven games with the Ducks. He could draw into the lineup on Tuesday with Hampus Lindholm sidelined again.

Guhle left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Guhle left after playing just 9:06 TOI and did not return. This is a tough break for Guhle, who was getting a chance to play with Anaheim after being acquired from Buffalo. Guhle has averaged 20-plus minutes while picking up one assist and 14 shots in his first five games with the Ducks.

The Ducks have acquired Brendan Guhle and a conditional first-round pick from the Sabres for Brandon Montour.

Guhle was a second-round pick (No.51 overall) in the 2015 draft and has picked up five assists in 23 carer NHL games. The 21-year-old has great mobility and has enjoyed a quality second season in the AHL, picking up five goals and 22 assists (27 points) in 50 games with Rochester.

The Sabres have reassigned Brendan Guhle to Rochester (AHL).

Guhle had one assist while averaging 16:58 TOI/GM in two games during his call-up. He is returning to the AHL simply for the Sabres bye week but he appeared to make a case to return to the big club after their break, especially with Zach Bogosian out for at least one month.

Guhle, 20, has had a nice campaign in the AHL so far, collecting seven goals and 13 assists (20 points) in 35 games. There’s no word why Guhle has been recalled, but if he plays on Tuesday it will be his season debut and his fourth career NHL appearance.

The Sabres have recalled Brendan Guhle from Prince George (WHL).

Guhle, 19, was a second round pick in 2015 and tonight he will make his NHL debut on Saturday. Guhle has registered five goals and two assists in 19 WHL games with Prince Albert and Prince George this season. Guhle will make his NHL debut on a pairing with Cody Franson.
