With first place in the Central Division locked up, the Hurricanes will rest a few players in their season finale. With Pesce resting, Jake Gardiner will draw back into the Hurricanes lineup.

Pesce was activated from IR on Saturday but was a healthy scratch for Sunday’s game. In total, he has sat out for the last nine games but returns tonight with two goals, one assist and 27 shots in 17 games this season.

Pesce missed the Hurricanes’ morning skate and is listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s game. If Pesce can’t play, expect Matt Tennyson to skate with Jaccob Slavin and for Klas Dahlbeck to draw into the lineup.
There is no word as to what is ailing Pesce, but head coach Bill Peters said that Pesce will be a game-time decision tonight. If Pesce can't play, Ryan Murphy will replace him in the lineup.
