Brett Ritchie News

Ritchie (infection) will be a game-time decision on Monday.

Ritchie has missed the last four games with an infection, but could be back in the lineup vs. the Blue Jackets. Ritchie has just one assist in 11 games this season and will return in a fourth-line capacity (replacing Gemel Smith) if he ends up playing.

The Blackhawks have acquired Anthony Duclair and Adam Clendening from the Coyotes for Richard Panik and Laurent Dauphin.

Duclair reportedly asked to be dealt out of Arizona and they granted his wish. Duclair has nine goals and six assists (15 points) in 33 games with the Coyotes this season, but has yet to live up to expectations to this point in his career. Duclair is still young and could become a capable goal-scorer in this league and will look to start fresh in Chicago. The Blackhawks don’t have a lot depth on the wing, so Duclair could earn a sizeable role at some point.

Ritchie will draw back into the Stars lineup on Saturday afternoon.

Ritchie has sat for the last two games, but will play today vs. the Oilers. Ritchie has had a slow start to the season, picking up one goal and one assist in 14 games this season, averaging 11:44 TOI/GM. There’s no word on who Ritchie will replace in the Stars lineup.
