Dumoulin underwent surgery to repair lacerated tendons in his left ankle and is expected to miss at least eight weeks.

Dumoulin had multiple tendons in his ankle lacerated in Saturday's loss to St. Louis and is expected to miss at least two months after undergoing surgery on Sunday morning. Injuries have been a huge issue for the Penguins this season but they've managed to stay afloat and will likely take the Dumoulin injury in-stride as well. He logged big minutes on their blueline, so someone like Marcus Pettersson is likely going to be tasked with taking on a larger role moving forward.

Dumoulin will miss at least the next two games with a lower-body injury.

Dumoulin was a late scratch from Saturday's game vs. Vegas and will miss at least Tuesday's game in Florida and Wednesday's game in TampaBay. With Dumoulin sidelined, John Marino is expected to play on the top-pair with Kris Letang and Juuso Riikola figures to see some reps on PP2.

Dumoulin (concussion) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Dumoulin has missed the last three games after suffering a concussion in the Penguins’ outdoor game in Philadelphia. Dumoulin rotated on the top-pair in Monday’s practice and was a full participant in Tuesday’s morning skate, but remains a game-time decision. Dumoulin, who will likely skate with Justin Schultz if he plays, has 21 points (2G / 19A), a plus-27 rating and 78 shots on goal in 62 games this season.

Dumoulin (upper-body) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Dumoulin, who has been battling an upper-body injury, took part in Wednesday’s practice and today’s morning skate, so it looks like he’ll play tonight. Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan loves the “game-time decision” tag, so expect Dumoulin to be in the lineup.

Brian Dumoulin
Dumoulin (upper-body) was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice.

Dumoulin shed his non-contact jersey during Wednesday’s practice session and skated on the top pair with Kris Letang, which is a good sign that he will be available for Thursday’s season opener vs. the Capitals. Dumoulin doesn’t carry a to of fantasy value despite playing over 20 minutes a night for one of the best teams in hockey. He had just 18 points (5G / 13A) in 80 games a season ago.

Dumoulin will miss 4-6 weeks with a broken jaw.

Dumoulin left Tuesday's game after being hit in the face by a slapshot. Dumoulin will undergo surgery to repair a broken jaw and is expected to miss at least one month. With Dumoulin not available for Wednesday's game, the Penguins are hoping that Olli Maatta (illness) will return this evening.
