The Maple Leafs have signed Calle Rosen to a two-year extension worth $1.5M ($750K AAV).

Rosen figures to be a part of the Maple Leafs NHL plans in 2018-19 after signing him to a one-way deal. Rosen is an undrafted free agent who came over from Sweden. He has taken his offensive game to a new-level this year, picking up 19 points (2G / 17A) in 24 games with the Marlies.

On Sunday afternoon, the Maple Leafs signed Roman Polak to a one-year deal, so Rosen has been sent to the Marlies to create room for the rugged blueliner. Rosen had one assist in his first four games with the Maple Leafs and will make his Marlies debut this week.

Rosen nearly made the Maple Leafs roster and after Martin Marincin cleared waivers he switched spots with Rosen. The 23-year-old will make his NHL debut on Saturday and comes to the Leafs after posting 19 points (6G / 13A) in 41 games with Vaxjo HC in Sweden.
