Atkinson (face) will be back in the Blue Jackets lineup on Tuesday.

Atkinson missed Sunday's game after being cut by a skate near his eye on Saturday, but he said his vision is good and he is ready to go tonight vs. the Senators. With Nick Foligno sidelined with a neck injury, Atkinson will go back to the top-line with Ryan Johansen.

Atkinson missed Sunday's game because he was cut by a skate near the eye on Saturday and the swelling was too substantial for him to play. His return to practice suggests that the swelling has subsided and he could be back in the lineup on Tuesday vs. Ottawa.

Despite scoring three goals with two assists in the first five games of the season, Atkinson was replaced by Scott Hartnell on the top line on Wednesday. Atkinson was skating on a line with Alexander Wennberg and Matt Calvert and is expected to start there against the Sharks on Thursday.

Atkinson missed Wednesday's practice, but is skating this morning. The Blue Jackets are off until Friday, so expect Atkinson to be in the lineup vs. the Flames. He has three goals and one assist in the first three games of the season.

Atkinson (ankle) has only appeared in three games this season but it looks like he will make his return to the lineup tomorrow vs. the Red Wings. Atkinson is a goal-scorer and Columbus will be happy to have him back in the lineup.

Atkinson (ankle) hasn't played since January 23 but is nearing a return to the Blue Jackets lineup. Atkinson is a sniper and will be a welcomed return to a Columbus lineup that ranks at the bottom of the NHL in Goals For per game with 2.0.

Rookie forward Cam Atkinson was recalled from Springfield this morning and will replace Carter on the roster. Atkinson has 29 goals, tied for second in the AHL. He’ll play right wing on a line with center Mark Letestu and left wing Vinny Prospal.

Atkinson gets another look now that Jeff Carter is in LA. The rookie scored a goal over his first five-game stint with the Blue Jackets.
