Fowler is a great young defenceman and the Ducks could use his services. He hasn't played since February 2nd and still appears to be about 10-14 days away from returning.

Fowler suffered an upper-body injury after getting hit by Los Angeles Kings forward Jarret Stoll. He is only expected to miss the start of the road trip but there has been no official word on a timetable for his return.

Fowler was hit hard in the Ducks last contest. He is a great offensive defenceman and this is a big blow to the Ducks. According to Bourdreau Fowler shouldn't be out long which is a positive.

Fowler is demoted to the second PP unit. The slumping sophomore has three goals and 15 points in 35 games.

Speaking of Fowler, it sounds like he will start the season on the top pairing alongside Lubomir Visnovsky. In his rookie season he finished the year with 10 goals and 40 points. Expect similar production, if not more, in his second full season as he should bypass the sophomore slump.
