Ward allowed two goals on 22 shots in the Hurricanes surprising 4-2 win over the Penguins on Friday. He was given Saturday night off, but will be back between the pipes tonight vs. the Predators. Nashville has been really impressive in their first 23 games—going 16-5-2 with the NHL’s 14th best offence at 2.65 goals per game.

Ward stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Hurricanes 1-0 loss to the Panthers on Wednesday. He has dropped five of his last six games with a 2.73 GAA and .916 SV%. The Hurricanes have combined for just seven goals in those five losses and things will not get any easier tonight in Pittsburgh.

Ward gave up four goals on 35 shots in the Hurricanes loss to the Avalanche on Saturday. He has dropped four of his last five starts with a 3.07 GAA and .907 SV%. It’s been a rough stretch for Ward, but he does draw a nice road matchup tonight in Florida.

Ward surrendered two goals on 25 shots in a loss in Boston on Saturday. After getting Sunday night off, Ward will be back in goal tonight in Dallas. He will look to snap a short two-game losing streak tonight, but he has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.04 GAA and .870 SV% on the road so far.

Ward stopped 22 of 23 shots in the Hurricanes 4-1 win over the Flames on Monday. He has been ridiculous as of late, winning five in a row while allowing just seven goals on 130 shots (.946 SV%). He draws a solid matchup against the Jets at home, where he is 4-1-1 with a 2.12 GAA with a .920 SV%.

He has reemerged among the NHL’s top goalies as of late and after sitting on Saturday, he will look to make it five in a row tonight vs. the Flames.

Ward stopped 17 of 19 shots in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jackets. After a dismal start to the year, Ward has now won three straight while posting a 1.34 GAA and .947 SV%.He has really turned things around and should make for a good start vs. the Blue Jackets, but in Carolina this time around.
