Hutton allowed four goals on 35 shots in the Sabres loss to the Panthers on Tuesday. Hutton has played very well this season but has lost four of his last five starts while allowing a combined 15 goals on 161 shots (.907 SV%). Tonight he faces the Capitals for the second time in less than a week—he allowed three goals on 38 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss in Washington last Saturday.

Hutton missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but will be back between the pipes tonight vs. the visiting Arizona Coyotes. Since winning eight in a row, Hutton has lost back-to-back starts while allowing a combined seven goals on 62 shots (.887 SV%). He should be able to bounce-back against a Coyotes team that has lost three in a row and is 28th in the NHL in goal-scoring (2.59 GF/pg).
Hutton (upper-body) will be the backup on Tuesday.
Hutton missed Saturday’s game against the Flyers with an upper-body injury but is healthy enough to be Linus Ullmark’s backup on Tuesday. This should put Hutton in-line to start Thursday’s game against the Coyotes.

Hutton missed Thursday’s practice and was officially listed as a day-to-day on Friday. Hutton will likely miss Saturday’s game, which is why Scott Wedgewood was called up from Rochester (AHL). Look for Linus Ullmark to take over as long as Hutton is sidelined.

As impressive as this run has been, Hutton is 4-4-0 with a 2.60 GAA and .912 SV% on the road and Tampa Bay is a brutal matchup for him.

Hutton allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Sabres win over the Canadiens last Friday. Hutton continued his dominance, extending his winning streak to seven games. Over that stretch, Hutton ranks ninth among goalies in GAA (1.98) and tied for eighth in SV% (.934). The Sabres are among the top teams in the NHL right now, but the Sharks pose a lot of matchup issues for Buffalo.
