As the Winnipeg Jets’ brass continues to mull over their final decisions that will bring them to the opening-day roster, Meech finds himself in limbo once again, waiting to see if he’s going to be among those to make the grade or be placed on waivers and wondering if he’ll be picked up by another team or be re-assigned to the American Hockey League.

Meech was brought in to provide depth in the organization and after spending last season with the Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League he’s determined to do what he can to push for a spot on the Jets fairly crowded blue-line.
The former Red Wing has 126 games under his belt and could challenge for a spot on the team. However, barring significant injuries and a breakout season, Meech will not be fantasy relevant this season.
Meech, the former fringe defenseman with the Detroit Red Wings, signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Winnipeg Jets. The Manitoba native's NHL salary is $700,000. He would earn $105,000 in the AHL.
