Chad LaRose News

Canes GM Jim Rutherford says Chad LaRose (cut) should be sidelined week to 10 days. Hopes LaRose will be ready when season resumes Tuesday.

The Canes don't play until after the break so they are hoping LaRose doesn't miss any time. He has 11 goals and 21 points through 45 games.

Larose back in the line-up 2night. Will give an already confident line-up added jam and spark on Back 2 Back Nights on the Island!

With LaRose returning to the lineup, the Canes don't need to make any roster moves. The gritty winger has 11 goals and 21 points in 43 games.

Skinner-Staal-LaRose

LaRose will skate for the second consecutive game on the top line. In the team's most recent game -- a 4-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils -- the undrafted winger banged in one of their two goals. Look for him to move around the lineup as the season progresses.

Maurice said LaRose would skate Wednesday, and that personnel decisions would be made tomorrow. LaRose could be placed on Injured Reserve, Maurice said.

If LaRose is not healthy enough to play in the season opener, look for the team to recall Drayson Bowman or Zach Boychuk. Last season LaRose scored 16 goals and 31 points in a checking line with Brandon Sutter. Jiri Tlusty probably replaces him on the third line if he can't suit up.
