Lindgren stopped all 38 shots that he faced in the Canadiens’ shutout win in Chicago on Sunday. It was an unreal season debut for Lindgren, who is with the team because of Carey Price’s injury. He earned a second straight start tonight and makes for a strong spot-start option with the Golden Knights in town.
Lindgren has gone 3-3-0 with a 3.53 GAA and .885 SV% in nine starts with Laval (AHL) so far this season. The 23-year-old has stopped 82 of 87 shots that he has faced in his three career NHL games. With Carey Price out, he will serve as Montreal’s No.2 goaltender for the time being.
Lindgren started the year with the Canadiens as Al Montoya's backup while Carey Price was sidelined with the flu, but Price is back and will start on Thursday, which ends Lindgren's time with the big club.

He will make his NHL debut against a Hurricanes team that has gone 4-3-3 while averaging 2.30 goals per game in their last 10.
Lindgren, 22, just finished up his season with St. Cloud State, where he went 30-9-1 with a 2.13 GAA and .925 SV%. Ben Scrivens will be placed on waivers to clear a roster spot for Lindgren to finish the season with the Canadiens.
