PHI puts Andreas Nodl on waivers.
Looks like the team is trying to clear roster space for Brayden Schenn. If Nodl clears waivers, he may remain with the big club.
“Chris will have surgery on his left knee tomorrow afternoon. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Peter DeLuca. The procedure will clean out some loose particles that have given Chris some problems over the last month or so. "
Pronger's return date is scheduled for the Winter Classic. In the meantime, look for Kevin Marshall to stay in the lineup. Hopefully Yahoo! will now add him to IR.
INJURY UPDATE: #Flyers GM Paul Holmgren says that Andreas Nodl has an upper-body injury and will not return to the game.
Nodl collided with teammate Daniel Briere early in the game and joins the Flyers' wounded because of it. Look for the team to make a recall if a wounded forward cant dress.

Pronger will not play tomorrow against the Islanders so make sure to keep him on your bench. The team's captain is off to a great start with a goal and 11 points through 12 games. He's not expected to miss to much longer.
A source tells Philly Sports Daily that Chris Pronger will not play against the Hurricanes. It is unclear what happened to Pronger or if he is injury is related to his recent eye injury that kept him out of the lineup.
All reports surrounding Pronger's status remains cryptic so expect a further update on his status.
