Christian Folin News

Folin will draw into the Canadiens lineup on Tuesday.

Folin was recalled from the AHL on Monday and will play in his sixth NHL game of the season tonight. The 28-year-old has four points (1G / 3A) in 15 AHL games and one assist in five NHL games this season. He’ll replace Victor Mete, who is out with the flu.

Folin (lower-body) will be back in the Kings lineup on Saturday.

Folin has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury, but will replace Oscar Fantenberg vs. the Predators. Folin doesn’t provide much in the way of offence, but is a good source of hits and blocked shots.

The Kings placed Christian Folin (lower-body) on IR on Tuesday.

Folin left Monday’s game in Philadelphia with a lower-body injury and was placed on IR just ahead of the Christmas roster freeze. With Folin out, Kurtis MacDermid will likely play Thursday vs. the Avalanche.

The Kings have signed Christian Folin to a one-year deal worth $850K.

After being a highly sought after college free agent, Folin struggled to find his way with the Wild, posting just 23 points (4G / 19A) in 118 games. Folin has good size (6-foot-3 / 214 lbs) and a strong two-way game, but won’t do a lot of damage offensively, which keeps him off of the fantasy radar.

Folin will be back in the Wild lineup on Thursday.

Folin was a healthy scratch for the last two games, but he will replace Nate Prosser in the lineup on Thursday. Folin is a big, rugged defenseman who has posted two goals and five assists (seven points) in 45 games this season.

Folin left Sunday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Folin suffered a potentially serious apparent arm/wrist injury on Sunday. Folin missed Monday’s practice and will undergo an MRI later today. Expect an update later on Monday or Tuesday morning, but Nate Prosser should draw in on Tuesday.
