MacArthur has been skating almost every day and was hoping to be cleared to return this morning. The Senators said they followed all the league protocols and the doctors did not clear him despite him being symptom-free.

MacArthur was hit from behind by Patrick Sieloff during a scrimmage at Senators’ training camp. A concussion limited MacArthur to just four games last year and he was finally getting back to health, but this latest concussion not only puts the veteran winger’s season in jeopardy but his career.

MacArthur has not played since October 14th and has battled debilitating conclusion symptoms all year long. He will not play again this season, so he will look to get ready for the 2016-17 season. He only appeared in four games this season.

MacArthur left Wednesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return. He will be kept out of the lineup tonight because of the injury, which will allow Shane Prince to make his season debut.

MacArthur (concussion) could be ready to return this weekend.
MacArthur has been sidelined with a concussion since February 16th, but he could be back in the lineup during the Senators back-to-back on Saturday or Sunday. MacArthur should provide a nice boost to a Senators team that is rolling right now.
