Cody Glass News

The Predators have acquired Cody Glass from the Golden Knights for Nolan Patrick.

Glass was the No.6 overall pick in the 2017 NHL draft but has had a difficult time landing a full-time role with the Golden Knights. The 22-year-old centre had 10 points (4G / 6A) in 27 games in the most recent NHL season and added 10 points (4G / 6A) in 14 AHL games. Glass gets flipped to Nashville for Nolan Patrick, who was acquired from the Flyers as a part of a trade for Ryan Ellis and was selected No.2 overall in the same draft as Glass.

Glass has been recalled by the Golden Knights.

Because of injuries, suspensions and a cap crunch, the Golden Knights had to play with 10 forwards on Thursday. However, they were able to recall Glass on Saturday and should at least be able to go with 11 forwards and six defensemen tonight. With Chandler Stephenson suspended, Glass could centre a line with Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty.

Glass is expected to be back in the Golden Knights lineup on Friday.

Glass was a healthy scratch for the last two games but it looks like he'll dress on Friday as the Golden Knights shift back to 13 forwards and five defensemen. Glass has one assist in two games this season.

Glass (concussion) will return to the Golden Knights lineup on Friday.

Glass missed the last eight games with a concussion but will draw into the Golden Knights lineup tonight in Anaheim. Glass will likely replace Valentin Zykov and has four goals and seven assists (11 points) in 32 games.

Glass (concussion protocol) will not play on Tuesday.

Glass went through concussion protocol following Sunday's game and was not at the Golden Knights facility on Monday. Glass has been ruled out of Tuesday's game, so Will Carrier skated on the Golden Knights' third line in practice.

The Vegas Golden Knights select Cody Glass with the 6th overall pick.

Glass possesses game-breaking talent as both a goal scorer and playmaker. The 6-foot-2, 179 lbs. centre led the Portland Winterhawks in points this season, registering 32 goals and 62 assists for 94 points.
