White missed the final five games before the All-Star break but said he’s almost 100 percent sure that he will play on Friday. The Senators went 2-3-0 without White, who has 11 goals and 15 assists (26 points) in 44 games this season.

The 20-year-old had three points (1G / 2A) in three AHL games after turning pro following his second year at Boston College. He was third in Boston College scoring with 33 points (16G / 17A) in 35 games.
The Senators’ first-round pick in 2015 (No.21 overall) was hurt during their preseason win over the Maple Leafs. The Senators have no released a statement on White’s injury, but the initial prognosis was not encouraging. White was expected to battle for a roster spot in training camp, but this injury will likely see the 20-year-old start the season in Binghamton (AHL).
