Schenn has appeared in all eight playoff games for the Jets so far, but it looks like he'll be the one that sits if Josh Morrissey plays in Game 2. Schenn has just one assist and a minus-9 rating in the postseason.

Morrissey missed Game 1 with an upper-body injury that he suffered in Game 7 vs. The Blues. Morrissey skated in his usual spot next to Dylan DeMelo and on PP1 in the morning skate, and head coach Scott Arniel called him probable to play in Game 2.

Morrissey was a game-time decision for Game 1 but was unable to suit up and will return to a similar "up in the air" status ahead of Game 2 vs. Dallas on Friday. The 30-year-old defender went down early in Game 7 of Winnipeg's opening round vs. St. Louis and has been a massive loss without his presence in the lineup. His status is expected to be updated in Winnipeg's warm up on Friday night.

Parayko is roughly two weeks into his original six-week injury timeline, but could return sooner than expected according to Blues' head coach Jim Montgomery. The 31-year-old Parayko represented Canada at the 4-Nations Face-Off and has been enjoying a great season in St. Louis, scoring 35 points (15G / 20A) in 62 games.

Parayko leads all Blues' players in time-on-ice this season, averaging 23:51 per game, and will likely be out of the lineup for the duration of the season. The 31-year-old Parayko represented Canada at the 4-Nations Face-Off and has been enjoying a great season in St. Louis, scoring 35 points (15G / 20A) in 62 games.

Morrissey missed the first game back after the 4Nations Face-off due to illness, but he's expected to replace Colin Miller in the lineup on Monday. Morrissey, who has seven goals and 39 assists (46 points) in 56 games this season, should re-claim his spot on the PP1 vs. the Sharks.


Morrissey did not play for Canada in Thursday's 3-2 win over USA at the 4-Nations Face Off and will remain sidelined due to an illness when Winnipeg return to action on Saturday against the St. Louis Blues. The 29-year-old Morrissey has 46 points (7G / 39A) in 56 games this season. Expect Neal Pionk to quarterback Winnipeg's top powerplay unit in Morrissey's absence.



Parayko was a surprise scratch on Friday, with the team not announcing his absence prior to warmups. Matthew Kessel will draw into the lineup in his place.


Morrissey scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators but was limited to only 12:24 time-on-ice, exiting the contest with a lower-body injury. The 29-year-old Morrissey is amid another productive season with the Jets, scoring 38 points (5G / 33A) in 42 games.
