Sheary suffered an upper-body injury after being hit hard vs. the Jets on Saturday. He had three goals and two assists in 27 games before the injury, but is not expected to be sidelined for long.

Sheary registered three points (2G / 1A) in 16 games with the Penguins this season and is tied for the team lead with 36 points (7G / 29A) in 30 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He is expected to play on Tuesday vs. the Senators.

Sheary was expected to be a healthy scratch on Saturday, but Chris Kunitz was a late scratch, so Sheary will be in the lineup vs. the Canucks. Sheary will likely skate on the top line with Sidney Crosby and Patric Hornqvist—he has two goals and one assist in 14 games this season.
