Zubrus has been with the Sharks on a tryout but finally signed this afternoon. The 37-year-old had four goals and 10 points in 74 games with the Devils last season. He has 584 career points (225G / 359A) in 1243 games, but will likely serve as a depth forward at this point in his career.

Comeau was on the ice for the Penguins morning skate and said after the session that he was “hopeful” that he will return to the lineup tonight. It sounds like he will play, but we will not know for sure until pre-game warmups. He skated with Evgeni Malkin and Patric Hornqvist this morning.

Comeau has been sidelined since December 22nd, but he is expected to be back in the Penguins lineup tonight vs. the Red Wings. The Pens placed Mark Arcobello on waivers yesterday, likely to clear room for Comeau. Expect an update following the skate.

Comeau was back on the ice for Penguins practice on Tuesday, skating with Evgeni Malkin and Patric Hornqvist. The Penguins placed Mark Arcobello on waivers this morning, which suggests that Comeau will be activated from IR and return to the lineup on Wednesday.

Comeau has been out since December 22nd and the only update that has been available is that he would miss “several weeks”. He has been sidelined for nearly one month already, so the X-rays should provide a more detailed timeline for his return.
