Darren Helm News

Helm (shoulder) has been activated from IR and will play on Wednesday.

Helm has missed the last 21 games with a shoulder injury that he suffered in New Jersey on November 17th. Helm will return on the Red Wings’ third line and skate with Luke Glendening and Andreas Athanasiou. He had just six points (1G / 5A) in 20 games before getting hurt.

Helm will “be out for a little bit” after getting hurt on Saturday afternoon.

Helm left this afternoon’s game in New Jersey with an upper-body injury and head coach Jeff Blashill expects him to be out for an extended period of time. Helm played just 2:03 TOI before departing the game and his injury will likely lead to someone being called up from the AHL.

Helm (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Helm missed Monday’s practice and is questionable for Tuesday’s game vs. the Bruins. Helm recently returned to the Red Wings’ lineup and has picked up five points (1G / 4A) in three games, so Detroit could certainly use his services as they get set to face the hottest team in hockey.

Darren Helm
Helm (lower-body) will miss at least the next two games; no timetable for his return.

Helm was already ruled out of Tuesday's game vs. the Stars but head coach Jeff Blashill made it clear this morning that the veteran forward won't be back until next week at the earliest and even that may be optimistic.

Helm (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Friday.

Helm missed Wednesday's game with an undisclosed injury, but took part in Friday's morning skate and it looks like he might return tonight vs. the Sabres. Helm skated on the fourth line this morning and comes in with just seven points (3G / 4A) in 18 games.

Helm (undisclosed) will not play on Wednesday.

Helm missed tuesday’s practice and will be held out of the lineup for Wednesday’s home game vs. the Flames. There’s no word how serious Helm’s injury is, so consider him day-to-day for now. The Red Wings will get Justin Abdelkder back to take Helm’s spot in the lineup.

Helm (shoulder) will return to the Red Wings lineup vs. the Sabres.

Helm has missed the last 27 games with a dislocated shoulder, but will draw into the lineup for Drew Miller on Friday. Before Helm got hurt, he had built a lot of chemistry with Thomas Vanek and Gustav Nyquist, but will not play with them tonight. He has four goals and three assists (seven points) in 17 games this season.

Helm (shoulder) is expected to return to the Red Wings’ lineup this weekend.

Helm has missed the last 27 games with a dislocated shoulder, but it looks like he’ll only miss one or two more games before returning to the lineup either Friday or Sunday. The Red Wings are playing their best hockey of the season right now, so Helm’s return will be a huge boost to their lineup. He has seven points (4G / 3A) in 17 games this season.

Helm will miss at least six weeks with a dislocated shoulder.

Helm was upended by Lightning defenseman Nikita Nesterov and came down hard on his shoulder. Helm left the ice in some pain and did not return to the game. On Wednesday the Red Wings announced that Helm will miss 6-8 weeks with a dislocated shoulder. Detroit will recall Tyler Bertuzzi for Friday’s game, but Thomas Vanek will be back on Sunday.
