Helm (shoulder) will play tonight in Nashville.

Helm missed the last 11 games with a shoulder injury that he suffered in early December. This is a huge boost for a Red Wings team who are starting to get healthy right before the Winter Classic. We will see if Helm can pick up where he left off, he scored seven goals and had 10 points in 15 games. He will centre the third line with Justin Abdelkader and Tomas Jurco on his wings.

Helm (shoulder) not on the ice for Red Wings' practice.

Helm missed the last two games and it does not appear that he will play tomorrow vs. the Panthers. He will need to participate in tomorrow's morning skate in order to play. He has battled a lot of injuries as of late, but this does not appear to be too serious which is good news for the 26-year-old who has seven goals and 10 points in 15 games.

Helm's MRI revealed fluid on his shoulder and he will miss both Friday and Saturday's games.

Helm joins Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg as Red WIngs forwards on the shelf. Helm had been on fire scoring six goals and three assists in his last 10 games. Stephen Weiss will shift to centre between Justin Abdelkader and Daniel Alfredsson with Helm out. He will be re-evaluated on Monday.

Helm will not play on Friday because of a shoulder injury.

Helm will have an MRI on his shoulder where the nature severity of his injury is known. If the shoulder injury is serious it would be a terrible blow to the Red Wings and Helm. He has battled injuries throughout the last two seasons. Todd Bertuzzi will enter the lineup with Helm out, a full report should be revealed later today or tomorrow.

The 26-year-old has only played one game in the last 18 months, but will be a welcomed addition to the Red Wings lineup.
