Rittich was pulled after he allowed four goals on 15 shots in the Flames 8-4 loss to the Blackhawks on February 15th. Cam Talbot ended up starting the last two games but Rittich gets a chance to get back on track with a nice matchup in Detroit. He's lost his last two while giving up a combined eight goals but stopped 27 of 28 shots in a winning effort in his first start vs. the Red Wings.

Rittich allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Flames win in San Jose on Monday. Rittich has been really strong in the first two games of their California road trip, stopping 59 of 63 shots (.937 SV%) and will go for his third straight win tonight in Los Angels. He is surprisingly 0-1-1 with a 4.80 GAA and .882 SV% in two games vs. the Flames this season.

The victory snapped a brief two-game losing skid for Rittich, who will face the Sharks for the second time in a week on Monday. He allowed three goals on 26 shots in a 3-1 loss to San Jose last Tuesday and is 12-8-2 with a 2.75 GAA and .915 SV% on the road this season.
