David Schlemko News

Schlemko (lower-body) is expected to be available Monday.

Schlemko has missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury that he suffered on March 6th. He could be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Rangers, but no official word has been given. He would bring one goal, eight assists and 18 penalty minutes with a plus-2 rating in 48 games to the Coyotes blueline.

Schlemko (lower-body) is returning to Phoenix to rest.

Schlemko is not progressing like the Coyotes will like, so he will return to Arizona where he can rest his bone bruise and be monitored by the Coyotes doctors. Phoenix has three games left in their road-trip so expect Schlemko to miss at least three games and return by Saturday at the earliest.

Schlemko (lower-body) appears to be fine and should play on Thursday.

Schlemko left Saturday's game early and did not return. Schlemko skated this morning and head coach Dave Tippet said he expects Schlemko to be available on Thursday. He has just one goal and three points in 15 games this season.

PRESCOTT VALLEY - Returning to Tim's Toyota Center for two days of practice with the Coyotes was surreal for defenseman David Schlemko, one of the few players to work his way from the Central Hockey League to the NHL.

With defensemen Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Maxim Goncharov knocking on the doorstep, Schlemko will need to fight for a roster spot this season. Last year he scored four goals and 14 points through 43 games which would put him around 30 points over a full season. If he finds a regular shift, he should be fantasy relevant.
