Cholowski (upper-body) will return to the Red Wings lineup on Monday.
As expected, the rookie defenseman will draw back into the Red Wings lineup in Montreal. Cholowski has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but will replace Danny DeKeyser in tonight’s lineup. He has one goal and two assists in his first three games of his career. Look for him to log massive minutes tonight after averaging 22:10 TOI/GM so far.

Jeff Blashill wouldn’t go as far as to confirm Cholowski’s return, but he would replace Danny DeKeyser if he does play. The rookie defenseman has had a great start to his NHL career, picking up one goal on five shots and two assists in three games.

Cholowski missed Thursday’s game vs. the Maple Leafs and will not play vs. the Bruins on Saturday. Cholowski was on the ice for Friday’s practice, but skated on the “fourth-pair.” Head coach Jeff Blashill suggests that Cholowski “might play Monday.”

Cholowski has been great for the Red Wings so far, scoring one goal with two assists while averaging 22:10 TOI/GM in his first three NHL contests. There’s no word when the rookie defenseman suffered the injury, but he will be replaced by Niklas Kronwall vs. Toronto on Thursday.
