The Ducks have signed Derek Grant to a three-year contract worth $4.5 million ($1.5M AAV).
This will be Gran't third stint with the Ducks, returning after flipping him to the Flyers at last year's trade deadline. Grant is coming off of a career-high 25 points (15G / 10A) in 56 games and will be a fourth-line option for the Ducks in 2021.
Grant will not be in the Flyers lineup for Game 7.
The Flyers have acquired Derek Grant from the Ducks for Kyle Criscuolo and a fourth-round draft pick.
The 29-year-old Grant is enjoying somewhat of a breakout year in 2019-20, already scoring a career-high 14 goals in 49 games. Grant played predominantly on Anaheim's fourth-line this season, but he had been seeing some time with the first power-play unit. He should slot into the Flyers' bottom-six as they continue to load up on depth for their playoff run.
Grant will sit out of Sunday’s game for “precautionary reasons.”
With the trade deadline coming on Monday, the Ducks will sit Grant tonight and either David Backes or Kiefer Sherwood will draw into the lineup. Grant could be a low-cost piece for a team in need of a fourth-line centre.
Grant is on the ice for warmups; expected to play on Thursday.
Grant (shoulder) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.
Grant has been sidelined by a shoulder injury for the last 12 games but could be back tonight in Nashville. Isac Lundestrom was sent back to the AHL, opening the door for Grant to return to the lineup.
Grant will miss 4-to-6 weeks with a sprained AC joint.
Grant injured his shoulder Tuesday in Philadelphia and will miss at least one month but could be out until late-January. With Grant out, Isac Lundestrom was recalled from San Diego (AHL) to replace him.

Grant has scored twice with three assists (five points) in 25 games with the Penguins this season. The 28-year-old returns to Anaheim, where he had the best year of his career, scoring 12 goals with 12 assists (24 points) in 2017-18.

Grant spent all of last season with the Ducks, recording 12 goals and 12 assists (24 points) in 66 games. So far this season he has one goal in one AHL game but could draw into the Penguins lineup on Tuesday.

Grant had three assists in 35 games with the Sabres earlier this season before ending up in Nashville via waivers. He had one assist in six games with Nashville but was reclaimed by the Sabres last week. With Evander Kane listed as a game-time decision, Grant has been recalled and could draw into the lineup tonight.

The Predators have claimed Derek Grant off of waivers from Buffalo.
Grant has picked up three assists and 19 penalty minutes across 35 games with the Sabres this season. The Sabers will planning to send him to Rochester (AHL), but the Predators have added some depth to their fourth line and sent Frederik Gauthier to Milwaukee (AHL).
