Tyutin (ankle) is "very close" could play on Saturday vs. the Wild.

Tyutin has missed the last games with an ankle injury. He is arguably the Blue Jackets best defenseman and his veteran presence on the blueline will certainly help a Columbus team in search of a playoff berth. Monitor his status during Saturday's morning skate.

Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin suffered a lower-body injury in practice this morning.

"Nothing major, but could be something that keeps him out on the weekend," said head coach Todd Richards. This would be a big blow to the Blue Jackets blueline and some fantasy lineups. Monitor his status prior to Friday's season opener.
