Filip Gustavsson will start Saturday in Winnipeg.

Gustavsson will start for the second straight game and search for his third consecutive win when he tends the twine on Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets. After allowing two or fewer goals in seven games (6-1-0), posting a stellar .954 SV%, Gustavsson has uncharacteristically allowed three or more goals in three straight (2-1-0), posting a .880 SV%. The Wild, winners of four straight, are playing a home-and-home set against the Jets on Saturday and Sunday and will turn to Marc-Andre Fleury on the latter end.

Filip Gustavsson will start Wednesday vs. Detroit.

Minnesota has opted to give Gustavsson some rest over the last week, but the team will turn back to him Wednesday for his second start in their last four games. After a horrendous start to the 2023-24 campaign, Gustavsson has been among the league's best goaltenders over the last month, allowing two or fewer goals in seven of nine games (7-2-0), posting a sensational .936 SV%. Minnesota is a -136 home favourite against the Detroit Red Wings, who have lost five of their last six games (1-5-0).

Filip Gustavsson will start Thursday vs. Montreal.

Gustavsson has started four of the last five games for the Wild and will return to the crease again on Thursday against the Montreal Canadiens. In his last contest, Gustavsson allowed four goals on 30 shots (.867 SV%) in a 4-3 loss to the Penguins but has allowed two or fewer goals in each of the seven games prior (6-1-0), posting a stellar .954 SV%. Minnesota has been rolling since introducing John Hynes as their new head coach, posting an 8-3-0 record, and are -178 home favourites against a Canadiens team that has collected a point in three straight outs (2-0-1).

Filip Gustavsson will start Monday vs. Pittsburgh.

Gustavsson will start for the fourth straight game on Monday and look for his fourth straight victory in the process. The Swedish goaltender's turnaround this season has been remarkable. Gustavsson has followed up a 10-game stretch (1-6-2) where he posted a .864 SV%, with an astounding .954 SV% in his seven games since (6-1-0). Minnesota is a slight +101 road underdog on Monday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who will be playing desperately after being embarrassed by the Toronto Maple Leafs in their last contest, a 7-0 blowout loss.

Filip Gustavsson
Filip Gustavsson will start Saturday vs. Vancouver.

Gustavsson will start for the third straight game on Saturday and look for his third consecutive victory in the process. The Swedish netminder has been outstanding lately, allowing two or fewer goals in each of his last six appearances (5-1-0), posting a phenomenal .950 SV%. Gustavsson and the Wild will face off against the Vancouver Canucks, who they played less than two weeks ago in a 3-0 loss when Gustavsson allowed two goals on 17 shots (.882 SV%).

Filip Gustavsson
Filip Gustavsson will start Thursday vs. Calgary.

Gustavsson saved all 24 shots he faced in his last outing for his second shutout of the season and will return to the crease on Thursday against the Calgary Flames. After a horrendous 10-game stretch (1-6-2) where he posted a .864 SV%, Gustavsson has been tremendous in his last five games (4-1-0), dating back to John Hynes taking over as Minnesota's head coach, posting a ridiculous .951 SV% in the process. The Wild are -146 home favourites against a Flames team that has lost three straight and five of their last six (1-4-1).

Filip Gustavsson
Filip Gustavsson will start Thursday vs. Vancouver.

After a horrendous start to the season, posting a wretched .864 SV% over a 10-game stretch (1-6-2) from October 14th to November 26th, Gustavsson has flipped a switch, coinciding with John Hynes taking over as head coach of the Wild. Gustavsson has won three straight contests, his first string of consecutive victories all season, allowing four goals combined, positing a .951 SV%. That said, Minnesota is a slight -101 road underdog against a Vancouver Canucks team that ranks first in the league offensively (3.88 GF / GP).

Filip Gustavsson
Filip Gustavsson will start Tuesday vs. St. Louis.

Gustavsson will start the first game of the John Hynes era for the Minnesota Wild after Dean Evason was fired from his role as head coach on Monday. Saying Gustavsson has struggled this season is an understatement, but he has shown positive signs over the last couple of weeks. Despite failing to record a victory in his last four games (0-3-1), Gustavsson has not allowed more than three goals in a contest, posting a much-improved .903 SV%. The Wild are -158 home favourites against a St. Louis Blues team that has been outscored 26-18 over their past six games (3-3-0).

Filip Gustavsson
Gustavsson will start Sunday in Detroit.

It was announced the Marc-Andre Fleury (illnesss) would be out Sunday so Filip Gustavsson takes the crease for the second-straight start Sunday in Detroit. The 25-year-old broke out in 2022-23 but has struggled mightily this season with his glaring 2-5-2 record, 4.03 GAA and .882 SV%. He will play the surging Detroit Red Wings, who have won two straight games and are impressively sixth in the NHL in goals per game (3.68).

Filip Gustavsson
Filip Gustavsson will start Friday vs. Colorado.

Gustavsson has only two above-average performances this season (1-0-1), his first start and his most recent, in which he has saved a combined 71 of 72 shots (.986 SV%). Taking those two games out of the equation, Gustavsson has been horrendous, posting a .848 SV% in those seven games (1-4-1). Minnesota will hope their recent trip to Gustavsson's homeland of Sweden as part of the NHL Global Series will help him rediscover the magic he had in the crease last season. The Wild will host a Colorado Avalanche team on Friday evening that has scored five or more goals in four of their last five games (4-1-0)
