Andersen leads the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Andersen made 27 saves on 29 shots in the Ducks 3-2 overtime win in Boston on Thursday. It was a much-needed win for Andersen and the Ducks, who really struggled in their previous two games. Andersen heads into Long Island at 3-3-0 with a 2.70 GAA and .889 SV% in the month of March.

Andersen was pulled after allowing three goals on seven shots in the Ducks loss to the Rangers on Sunday. John Gibson struggled on Sunday and Tuesday, so the Ducks will go with Andersen tonight in Boston. Andersen has gone 2-3-0 with a 2.90 GAA and .876 SV% in his last five starts.

Despite the rough outing vs. Pittsburgh, he will start again tonight in Vancouver. It likely has to to with Andersen going 3-0-1 with a 1.19 GAA and .947 SV% against the Canucks this season.

It likely has to to with Andersen going 3-0-1 with a 1.19 GAA and .947 SV% against the Canucks this season.

Andersen stopped 29 shots on 30 attempts in the Ducks win in Arizona in his return from a neck injury. Tonight he will face a Penguins team who have won four of five. Andersen has gone 16-5-2 with a 2.32 GAA and .921 SV% at the Honda Center this season.

Tonight will be Andersen’s first start since suffering a neck injury on Feb. 8th. He has been great for the Ducks this season, going 29-8-5 with a 2.37 GAA and .916 SV% so far. Tonight he has a great chance to earn his 30th win of the season as he gets set to take on the Coyotes. The 25-year-old is 1-0-2 with a 1.27 GAA and .951 SV% against Arizona this season.

Andersen has missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury, but he is set to backup John Gibson tonight vs. the Kings. This leaves the door open for Andersen to start Sunday in Dallas. With Andersen back, the Ducks had to send Jason Labarbera back to Norfolk (AHL).

Andersen was taking shots again in Wednesday’s game day skate, but John Gibson will start tonight. However, Andersen is coming along nicely and coach Bruce Boudreau is hopeful he will return either Friday in Calgary or Saturday in Edmonton.

Andersen was injured in Sunday’s game when the net fell onto his head/neck. His immediate movement to IR means that he is out through next Sunday, so he will miss at least the next three games. John Gibson has been recalled with Andersen out.
